Born & raised

Chicagoan.

The neighborhoods, the lakefront, the Blue Line at 6am, Navy Pier in any weather. This is the city I keep choosing.

The view from where I live today, in Logan Square, just outside downtown.

What I love

Chicago, in particulars.

The Blue Line at 6am , a quiet rolling meditation
Navy Pier in winter, when only the locals come
The first warm day in March, every restaurant patio open
The L over the river at night
A Bulls game with everyone yelling
The Cultural Center, free, on a slow afternoon

2020 · An empty city

Chicago, with no one in it.

During COVID, downtown emptied out completely. No crowds, no traffic, no one. A city built for millions, holding its breath. I walked it with a camera.
